Gaming supervisors take charge of gaming operations and staff in an assigned area. Circulating among the table games, they ensure that all stations and games are covered for each shift. It also is typical for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating regulations for patrons. Supervisors can also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have clear leadership qualities and great communication skills. They need these abilities both to manage staff properly and to greet players in order to endorse return visits. Just about all casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. Regardless of their educational background, however, quite a few supervisors gain experience in other gambling jobs before moving into supervisory positions because knowledge of games and casino operations is quite essential for these staff.
